The space
Welcome to Tequila Mockingbird, centrally located on 56th St! You are within walking distance to the beach (0.4 miles to 55th St beach access), grocery stores (Publix and Food Lion), restaurant/bars, ice cream, ABC store, shopping, and more.

The nearby Middleton Park is only 0.6 miles away (47th St) and boasts a splash pad, a playground, and tennis and pickleball courts. It also hosts a variety of weekly events, including a farmer’s market and a summer concert series.

This listing includes 2 separate dwellings on a corner lot. Perfect for families with kids who want space to spread out! While the homes are not connected internally, they are extremely close and share the driveway, patio, and yard.

Each home has a 60” smart TV in the main living space, so you’re able to stream from your phone and browse your favorite apps. The main house also has a DVD player with a variety of movies for our nostalgic guests.

The primary house features 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a spacious open-concept living/dining area with a full kitchen. There is a separate laundry room plus a sunroom with a small desk/office area. Everything is on the main level (no stairs). The master has a king bed with en-suite bathroom (shower-tub combo). The other 2 bedrooms each have a queen bed and share a hallway bathroom (walk-in shower). All 3 bedrooms have blackout curtains.

The wooden “bunk house” includes 2 bedrooms, 1 loft, 1.5 bathrooms, washer/dryer, and small kitchen. The main area is an open-concept space with a pool table, a foosball table, Nintendo Wii with games, a dining table with a removable Poker/gaming top, and a variety of books, board games, puzzles, and kids’ toys. The game room is a fun way to beat the heat, wait out a passing storm, or wind down after the kids go to sleep!

Downstairs at the bunk house you’ll find the 1 full bathroom (walk-in shower) and 1 bedroom with 4 twin beds (2 single beds plus a top/bottom bunk bed). Walk upstairs to find 1 bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite half-bath, plus a loft area with a trundle bed and a Nugget play couch. (The bottom twin is not readily made, but could sleep a 14th person if requested.) The ceiling height upstairs is low, so heads up if you’re taller than 6’.

Have an infant or a young toddler in tow? Don’t stress! A pack-and-play, a high chair, and a climbing pikler are stored in the closets.

Guest access
Guests have access to the full property except the owners’ shed and locked closets. A second shed is available at the top of the driveway to store your beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and other gear.

Other things to note
Clean linens and bath towels are provided, and beds will be made prior to your arrival. Please use the designated black washcloths for makeup removal. Both homes have laundry space, so you may wash linens and towels as needed during your stay.

We also offer basic essentials such as shampoo, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, starter pack of k-cups for the Keurig, and dish detergent. If you run through what is provided, you may need to restock items for the remainder of your stay.

Our property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please respect our neighbors and observe reasonable quiet hours. This is a great space for families with kids; it is not for house parties, bachelor parties, rambunctious groups, etc. If you are disruptive, you may be asked to leave the premises and check out early with no refund.

Sorry, no pets. We adore our 3 dogs, but even they are not permitted.

We encourage insect repellent for mosquitos when outdoors and ask that exterior doors remain closed when not in use. While we have routine pest control, know that bugs like ants and roaches are extremely prevalent in this area of the south. You may still see them.

Guests may want to consider travel insurance. Refunds are not provided for late cancellations due to last-minute emergencies, illness, weather, etc.
